Friday, April 7, 2017 The Study will be hosting a one-day, all girls' leadership conference themed "CLIMB: Connect, Live, Inspire, Motivate, Be". The goal of the conference is to empower young women who share a passion for leadership. Our incredible speakers will motivate and inspire the conference delegates by sharing their stories of how they overcame incredible challenges.

The day will include of a variety of workshops and activities for students and staff advisors.  The students will have the opportunity to work in "Spirit Groups" throughout the day. These groups will give the girls a chance to connect with others from different schools as they experience icebreakers, organized games that they can bring back to their schools and discussions on leadership.

Our opening keynote speaker will be Molly Burke. She has inspired thousands with her story. At age 4, Molly was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa which has made her blind. She has been an ambassador for The Foundation Fighting Blindness Canada and a motivational speaker since the age of 5. Molly openly shares her experiences of overcoming adversity and embracing diversity, connecting with her audiences at a very personal, emotional, and relatable level. She believes that we all have the strength within us to survive any challenge, and learn how to thrive from those struggles

Our Student Life team is proud to announce that one of our many presenters will be Sarah Wells, a Canadian Olympic athlete. Some of her accomplishments include, finishing 24th for the 400m hurdles in the 2012 London Olympic Games and coming 1st in the 2012 National Championshis in Calgary, Canada. She brings with her an incredible story about her journey to the Olympics which targets determination and hard work.

Among our list of guest speakers is Lucas Patuelli "Lazylegz". He was born with arthrogryposis, a disorder that affects your muscles and joints. At the age of 15, he discovered breakdancing. At first it seemed challenging but he would modify the moves to make them his own and has since worked with artists like Kanye West. His energetic personality will inspire you to get up off your feet and to start living your dreams!
