Duke of Ed Trip - Silver Award Prep trip

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Young Canadians Challenge was founded to encourage personal development and community involvement for young people. This year, 10 Study girls challenged temselves to a 2 day camping trip in the lower Laurentians - a prep trip for the more rigourous Duke of Ed Silver Award adventurous journey in the spring.

The Award is completed in three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold . There are four Sections of activities for all Award levels, plus a Gold Project at the Gold level. ​ By creating opportunities for young people to develop skills, get physically active, give service and experience adventure, the Duke of Edinburgh Award program is seen as a leading world youth achievement program.
