Prime Minister's Science Fair

Two grade 3 students had the privilege of being invited to Ottawa to share their Science prowess and their Robot with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Priya Kennedy and Catherine Ji, both 8 years old, were the youngest of the 30 youth scientists from across Canada invited to demonstrate their notable science projects to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister of Science, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, at the Prime Minister's Science Fair in Ottawa.

The day began with a round table discussion hosted by the Honourable Kirsty Duncan in the Wellington Building. Priya and Catherine spoke about their class-wide experience building and coding their robot for the FIRST robotics junior tournament in Montreal. They also proudly demonstrated their robot in action to the Prime Minister and his newly appointed Chief Science Advisor Dr Mona Nemer.

Back at home in Montreal the girls, together with their Technology teacher, Ms Jacobsen, were invited to appear on Global News Montreal to share their experience with host Laura Casella!
