UNESCO Pink Hard Hat Challenge

Grade 6 girls had the honour of participating in the UNESCO Pink Hard Hat Challenge global workshop at The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) headquarters. An awesome learning experience and a unique opportunity for the next generation to engage in STEM! The workshops included interactions/discussions with several senior woman professionals in the areas of engineering and aviation and was held in conjunction with the ICAO Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Global Summit. In attendance was Shaesta Waiz, the ‘Dreams Soar’ pilot who completed a solo round-the-world flight for STEM with ICAO’s support!

The Pink Hard Hat Challenge is in support of the One Million Girls in STEM Campaign. Through this Campaign UNESCO and WomEng are commited to reach 1 million girls through STEM education and awareness initiatives in at least 10 regions, in the next 10 years. The Study was very proud to be one of the selected organizations.
